Working in close partnership with our orthopaedic clients like nationally renowned Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic, JLR has emerged as a true leader in advanced breakthrough anesthesia techniques for orthopaedic surgery. Our board-certified physicians have created a comprehensive, perioperative, regional analgesia program that is resulting in:
While these state-of-the art techniques are allowing for better medical care, they are also having a major impact on patient satisfaction and reduced hospital costs - two key components of the current national accountable care focus. Patients are discharged sooner, happier, and safer. As a result, JLR's efforts in this arena have become a key quality initiative with our partner hospitals. These improvements could not have been achieved without our comprehensive strategy to originate innovative protocols and onboard and educate numerous stakeholders, including: administrators, surgeons, pharmacists, nursing and rehab clinicians.
We provide nerve blocks as well as continuous block catheters for superior post-operative pain control. Through our combined innovations, we continue to work together to develop and refine new protocols to reduce an array of complications that often result from more traditional, narcotic-based pain treatments. These include nausea, vomiting, constipation, confusion, urinary retention, respiratory difficulties and extended hospital lengths of stay.
