JLR Medical Group has developed a strong relationship with the Department of Neurosurgery throughout the Florida Hospital System. As a major referral center for children and adults with nervous system disorders, JLR provides anesthesia for a wide variety of neurosurgical interventions in patients with simple and complex neuropathology.
Our patient population ranges from the smallest neonate through the geriatric years. The Division of Neuroanesthesia provides approximately 4000 anesthetics annually for complex neurosurgical and interventional neuroradiologic procedures.
The neuroanesthesia team is responsible for the perioperative care of patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies for brain tumors, aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, carotid endarterectomies, posterior fossa surgeries, epilepsy surgeries, complex spinal surgery, and stereotactic and interventional neurovascular techniques.
The Neuroeuroanesthesia locations include multiple MRI and CT-equipped operating rooms plus advanced neurovascular interventional suites.
Brandon Lenox, MD

Dr. Lenox has served as the Chief of the Department of Neuroanesthesia since 2009 and oversees a team of anesthesiologists and certified nurse anesthetists over a system that provides approximately 4000 complex neurosurgical and interventional neuroradiologic procedure annually. Dr. Lenox also serves as the Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery and Member of the Medical Executive Committee at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. In addition he is responsible for all anesthesia equipment integration into the Florida Hospital System for the Department of Anesthesia. Dr. Lenox completed his training in anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
