We are recruiting 1-2 critical care medicine fellowship trained anesthesiologists for our Critical Care Medicine Group which is currently staffed by three Board Certified physicians. Our practice includes preoperative evaluation and consultation, intraoperative consultation for complicated patients, and postoperative care to the medical, surgical, cardiovascular and neurologic ICUs. In addition, we provide critical care to some medical patients in the ICU, bone marrow transplant ICU, ventilator support unit and oncology and cardiology progressive care units. Applicants need to have completed a critical care fellowship or to have grandfathered in with a special qualification certificate by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Our group is procedurally active placing arterial lines, central venous and pulmonary artery catheters, thoracentesis, paracentesis and chest tubes, as well as other procedures as needed in the Intensive Care Unit. Our CCM group members act as medical directors of the ICU, Ventilator Support Unit and the Oncology Progressive Care Unit.
